  22. I learned about soc.motss from reading crosspost headers in 
  23. alt.poltics.homosexuality.  I doubt I would have found it
  24. any other way.  It took me two weeks to find out what "motss"
  25. even meant.  My first post: a comparison/contrast of the manner in 
  26. which the Roman Catholic Church and the Phillips Exeter Academy 
  27. dealt with their respective summer-of-92 betes noires, Father 
  28. James Porter and Lane Bateman.  It was a crashing flop with not
  29. even a flame posted in response.
