  14. The new Utne Reader (Jan/Feb 1993) has a collection of articles
  15. under the header "Men & Women  Can we get along?  Should we
  16. even try?"

  18. There are too many articles for me to start typing them in (besides
  19. copyright and the fact that Utne Reader has a login on Usenet) but
  20. I recommend the issue and look forward to any discussion.

  35. of the articles are incredibly one sided while others try to 
  36. be even-handed.  You will also learn that there are some radical
  37. people out there.  One example:

  39. In the first article listed above he talks about Sally Gearhart
  40. who in 1982 advocate "ovular merging" which merges two human eggs
  41. to produce only female offspring, bring the ratio to 75/25 (female
  42. to male) in one generation.  The author says "It's not genocide,
  43. exactly.  It's more like job attrition, the way employers cut back
  44. positions without actually firing anyone."  That's certainly a
  45. broadminded position.
