  19. Do "df" on that filesystem (look it up in the manual if you don't understand
  20. what that means).  You may be reading news on a dedicated server with lots
  21. of disk space paid for by our long distance charges.  Your news server may
  22. keep the articles for years.  Many sites junk old articles 2-3 days after
  23. receiving them, so a number of USENET readers have to do their own
  24. archiving.

  26. A number of sites are connected to their news servers by NNTP (look it up if
  27. you don't know what it is) and may not allow users access to the news spool
  28. area.  This prevents people from being able to gain easy access to the old
  29. articles outside of the news readers.
