- I hope this message makes it through, my others appeared to have died
- on the screen. Is the vara in 16th century documents of Spanish exploration
- 2.68 miles. 2.50 feet or is it close to 5 miles. Research I have conducted
- on two known points on the Farfan Expedition indicates a vara was close to
- five miles. Any ideas?
