  12. I hope this message makes it through, my others appeared to have died
  13. on the screen.  Is the vara in 16th century documents of Spanish exploration
  14. 2.68 miles. 2.50 feet or is it close to 5 miles. Research I have conducted
  15. on two known points on the Farfan Expedition indicates a vara was close to
  16. five miles. Any ideas?
