- My gg...gfather was an indentured servant. After only a few months on
- a tabacco farm he enlisted in the Rev.War Army. I doubt that his
- contract had expired. I have always wondered whether he just skipped
- out, or if he was able to buy his freedom, possibly with an
- enlistment bounty. Does anyone know if there were such bounties in the
- Rev. War?
