- Florida Atlantic University has an excellent program in Environmental
- Growth Management that would combine well with you previous degrees and
- area of interest. It is NOT an environmental engineering program,
- however, it is a program in the legal, political and planimetrics
- associated with designing good systems to manage the environmental and
- social impacts of urban growth and development. It is offer through the
- College of Urban and Public Affairs and the FAU-FIU Joint Center for
- Environmental and Urban Problems. The degrees offered are the Master of
- Public Administration with the EGM Specialization, Matser of Urban and
- Regional Planning with the EGM Specialization, and the PhD in Public
- Administration with and EGM concentration.
-
- All three programs are funded based on merit. EGM fellowships consist of
- either three or four semesters of funding for master'slevel students, and
- consistent stipend for the PhD level.
-
- FAU is currently a leader in environmental growth management due to it's
- location in a high growth state, a state with the finest comprehensive
- growth management system in the country, and resources such as the Joint
- Center and Urban Affars programs.
