- I've noticed that many people feel they get better response when they
- crosspost on grad & gradinfo. Not sure that it is working (in fact I
- highly doubt it). Please notice that gradinfo is for the
- dissemination, by ACADEMIC DEPARTMENTS, of information about graduate
- programs.
-
- Gradinfo is an unmoderated group, but with a set of "rules" that are
- posted each month. These rules are designed to keep the group as
- effective as possible as an official source of information for
- prospective graduate students.
-
- I've contacted many graduate departments and asked them to post to
- gradinfo some information about their school, admissions requirements,
- current research and the like. Lately I've been playing gradinfo
- group guardian, a job that I'm not proud of.
-
- Please stop crossposting to gradinfo. You have reached the same
- readers if you post to soc.college.grad.
-
- Sincerely,
-
- Marc E. Fiuczynski
