  12. I've noticed that many people feel they get better response when they
  13. crosspost on grad & gradinfo.  Not sure that it is working (in fact I
  14. highly doubt it).  Please notice that gradinfo is for the
  15. dissemination, by ACADEMIC DEPARTMENTS, of information about graduate
  16. programs.

  18. Gradinfo is an unmoderated group, but with a set of "rules" that are
  19. posted each month.  These rules are designed to keep the group as
  20. effective as possible as an official source of information for
  21. prospective graduate students.

  23. I've contacted many graduate departments and asked them to post to
  24. gradinfo some information about their school, admissions requirements,
  25. current research and the like.  Lately I've been playing gradinfo
  26. group guardian, a job that I'm not proud of.

  29. readers if you post to soc.college.grad.
