- Your observation was a negative one of the way some other folk read
- news. Your explanation of your own method sounded like an endorsement
- for it. A natural inference is that other folk should abandon their
- current practices and adopt your (superior) one.

- The following paraphrase of your original paragraph makes this
- interpretation more visible by making it less subtle:

- /3/ [Therefore, you should stop using killfiles and adopt my approach]

- /1/ is the negative observation
- /2/ is your explanation which sounds like an endorsement
- /3/ is a natural inference.

- you. However, I hope you will agree that this interpretation was
