  35. People have stopped using the word 'nigger'?  Stopped printing it,
  36. mostly, and not in prime time, but ....

  38. I suspect the thing that's going to get the gender neutral pronouns
  39. in place for part of the population is that all the serious scholarly
  40. english style guides are now gender neutral or getting there.  This
  41. will get all the primary school teachers, who will get the kids who
  42. end up literate.  (The kids who don't end up literate have a much
  43. larger problem than their language use!)
