- Sigh. I am not smug. I do not patronize - I satorize. I
- hold a mirror up to what is being perceived, and ask that you
- observe the message for what it is. You may or may not choose
- to do so, of course.
-
- Do you believe that applying sound marketing principles to
- getting your ideas actually ADOPTED by lots of people is a
- nitwit idea? If so, then you must enjoy talking *INSIDE*
- your safe-space.
-
- I prefer to take the fight to where it REALLY counts - outside
- of "space-space" and into the world at large. And I thought
- I had one idea for doing so. Consider: I have two daughters.
- ALL of their children's books, traditional as they are, show
- girls/womyn in not only traditional roles, but pathetic ones
- at that. One of my daughters was just accepted into a gifted
- program - in kindergarten. I would like her to be a doctor.
- Kids books want her to be a mommy ..... For you, this discussion
- may be theoretical, or self-centered. Not for me.
-
- It is YOU who smuggly assume that there is only one, Politically
- Correct method for attaining worthy goals.
-
- Answer me this: has the Womyn's Movement *really* succeeded
- in achieving its goals? And, is LANGUAGE a key factor toward
- success? Has anyone done any studies on this?

- ^^^^^^^^
-
- I am not "from IBM." I am a consultant, and in no way shape
- or form speak for IBM. Clearly by implying my association with
- my client you wish to make a statement. Unfortunately, thinking
- people everywhere recognize what a crock your attempt is.
- Next. Let's stick with the issues.

-
- I don't know what you do at Cornell Theory Center (perhaps
- astrophysics with Dr. Sagan?), but I live and work in The Real World (tm),
- where your message AIN'T GETTIN' THROUGH. You may choose to
- not believe this - but I choose to observe the reality and
- come up with another approach to reach worthy goals.
-
- You may choose to turn tail and blow this off (and hey, Happy Holidays
- to you, too :-) but I'm kinda serious about this. Are you?
