- Adam, I understand your outrage. But stop and think: The US "media"
- conceived of, worked hard for, and brought you, live into your very
- living room, TA-DAH: *The LA RIOTS*. They orchestrated it, they
- called for it, and they presided over the destruction. Do you
- seriously think they really give a damn about accuracy? THEY DON'T
- HAVE TO. "Wow, $750 million damage and over 50 killed! Why, there's
- no LIMIT to our power!"
-
- The "dethroning" of President Nixon in 1974 made them aware of the
- power they really have. It has taken them about 20 years, but it takes
- a while for a sleeping giant to awaken; they are just now learning how
- to flex their muscles. Among other things, they orchestrated the
- Travesty of November 3rd, the consequences of which are still to come.
- The drum beat to eliminate private ownership of firearms is increasing
- to a crescendo and will continue to increase in volume until they
- either get their way or we have a revolutionary blood bath. (You don't
- believe the media is after the confiscation of private firearms? Try
- two editorials, three articles, and one comic strip in the 12/21
- Seattle Times! More to follow...watch that newspaper for coming
- events...)
-
- ***GUN CONTROL == PEOPLE CONTROL***
-
- The members of the media do what they please, say what they
- please, whenever they please. They set objectives that ignore human
- rights, human decency, they spit on the truth, and giggle about it.
- AND THEY, THE MEDIA, ARE ACCOUNTABLE TO NO ONE. THERE IS NOTHING IN
- OUR SYSTEM OF CHECKS AND BALANCES TO CHECK OR BALANCE THEM.
-
- But they must have credibility, you say? It has taken them so long to
- start exercising their power of control over the society because they
- still are walking kind of gingerly because they do not truly appreciate
- the gullibility of The People, and continue to be astounded at how
- STUPID The People truly are. "Genius may have its limitations, but
- stupidity is not thus handicapped." -Elbert Hubbard
-
- This example you gave is but one example which appears to you
- egregious. Trust NONE of the information fed to you by the media. And
- this includes that which you are inclined to believe. Read EVERYTHING
- critically; watch EVERYTHING critically. Think about why THIS story
- was selected, why it is in the location (the page or the part of the
- broadcast) that it is, what was the "spin" that the editor was trying
- to put on it, how was the editor trying to skew your opinion or
- thinking. EVERYTHING YOU SEE IS PROPAGANDA! Ponder and speculate on
- the intended result of the propaganda. Stay low, keep moving, watch
- your six! :-)
-
- IMHO, every act, EVERY ACT, of the US media is skewed (and has been,
- more or less, for years) to the ultimate intended result of "establish
- collectivism, eliminate individualism". To this end, they promote the
- power of Big Government, to the denigration of individual rights. The
- used-to-be Socialist World is collapsing economically and admitting
- that the principles of collectivism are incompatible with human rights
- and human government, and the US Liberal Left, using its mouthpiece,
- The Media, is trying to segue into it right here and now, and world
- wide, if they can get away with it. Sigh.
-
- And US citizens, an "intelligentsia"? You're joking. Right? RIGHT?
- You mean that THIS is what Thomas Jefferson had in mind when he spoke
- of an "educated electorate"? :-)

- Brittanius (shocked): Caesar, this is not proper.
- Theodotus (outraged): How?
- Caesar (recovering his self possession): Pardon him, Theodotus: He is
- a barbarian, and thinks that the customs of his tribe and islands are
