- i don't recall *voting* for any such thing. our elected representatives pass
- this sort of law, generally after intense lobbying by the proponents, in this
- case the insurance industry, i'm sure. it then becomes our job to circulate
- petitions, collect signatures, get the issue on the ballot, etc. if memory
- serves me, this how washington state voters had to REPEAL a motorcycle helmet
- law some years back.
