  18. You have to be careful with polls.  A poll in which people are asked
  19. "do you want a manned space program?" will ellicit a generally
  20. positive response.  However, similar questions on other issues, like
  21. education, health care, and so on, ellicit much more positive
  22. responses.  The *relative* support of the space program is not very
  23. high.
