- It goes a little beyond that. I have been hypnotized. I was most certainly
- in a *real* trance state. Now, objectively I cannot distinguish the resulting
- state from the standard alpha-state of pre-sleep, so I would say that it is
- probably just a fairly normal alpha-state trance (similar to that produced
- by most other methods, from biofeedback to meditation).

- The 'memories' I got in the hypnotic state were essentially identical to the
- "lucid dreams" that heve been discussed here previously.
