- That's a neat thing you mentioned about the possibility
- of a word being borrowed backwards. I know of no example
- of such either, but a borrowing from French to Hebrew is
- a more probable place for such a thing to happen
- given the writing directions. Intriguing question.
- Incidentally, do you by any chance know the
- derivation of the word "Yankee"? Just a non
- sequitur. :) Have fun!
