- Carl, when I say "I do this often and I think that you take it to mean
- that I actually believe something is true", I am not saying that I am lying
- to you. I am saying that the point I am making is only a possibility. A
- possibility that might be true. I have not decided one way or another.

- be a liar. But... this is not happening. I am attempting to shake your
- rigid certainty about things by posing possibilities that may be true.
