- I am currently doing research on wavelets (theory and applications),
- and have come accross comparisons of wavelets to coherent states in
- quantum mechanics. Although I have has a basic course in Q.M., can anyone
- explain to me what coherent states are? Do they have anything to do with
- phase-space localization?
- Also, can anyone refer be to any texts which have a great deal of
- emphasis on Schrodinger's wave equation (from the basics on)? I see some
- reltionships between wave packets and wavelets, but I would like to learn
- more.
-
- Thank-you ,
- John
