  24. American Physical Society, a friend heard one bellboy say to another
  25. in the hotel: "Those physicists must be a bunch of queers.  Not one of
  26. them has asked me to get him a woman."  In fact, at that time, gay
  27. physicists were (to my knowledge) rather scarce.  But I am willing to
  28. believe that a disproportionate number of them were faithful to their
  29. wives.
