  26.    One of my mathematics professors once told me that the reason
  27.    there are Nobel prizes in mathematics, even though there are
  28.    prizes in physics, chemistry, etc, is that a mathematician had a
  29.    love affair with Alfred Nobel's wife.  He swore the story was
  30.    true.  It seemed unlikely to me at the time that a mathematician
  31.    would have a love life, much less an adulterous one, but I've
  32.    since realized they're human too.

  34.    My question is, what was the mathematician's name?  I vaguely
  35.    remember it being a multiple name.

  40. _Britannica_ article on Nobel says "He never married".
