  13. Some one just e-mailed me asking for evidence that creation from the future
  14. is not a matter of faith but a scientic conjecture subject to falsification
  15. according to the Popper test. Briefly, impressionistically the clues - and
  16. they are only clues that appeal to our Sherlock Holmes bent:

  18. 1. the fact that there is a universe at all with all the cosmic coincidences
  19. needed for life see Fred Hoyle The Intelligent Universe and Barrow and
  20. Tipler's The Anthropic Cosmological Principle.

  22. 2. Wheeler's choice expt, Aspect's experiment, Wheeler-Feynman classical EM,
  23. Cramer's transactional interpretation of QM. Aharonov's double time QM and
  24. time machines, Kip Thorne's traversable wormhole time machines in GR,
  25. legends of prophecy, subjective precognitive experiences, feelings of Divine
  26. Inspiration felt universally by all poets, artists, great scientists etc.

  29. Finally, we have seen in the course of the discussion here in the past few
  30. months that while I was wrong that standard QM permits quantum connection
  31. communication of the "quantum eraser" type in which

  35. so that light initially unpolarized for one local detector is controllably
  36. polarized by tweaking the twin detector system (transmitter - which can be
  37. in time like future of receiver detection event). Nevertheless, a minimal
  38. generalization of standard quantum mechanics to permit off-diagonal non-
  39. unitarity does permit this transformation in a way that still conserved the
  40. locally detectable probabibilites. That si, it appears tentatively that
  41. while unitarity is a sufficient condition to conserve quantum probability it
  42. is not necessary - a weaker condition will work. The next question is
  43. whether Nature implements such a non-unitary time evolution - is it a
  44. property of complex chaotic macro-quantum systems in the nonlinear regime
  45. far from thermal equilibrium for example?
