  34. Come to think of it, I remember one or two less than complimentary remarks
  35. about one Jack Sarfatti in there...

  38. connection communication is possible, Gardner writes:
  39. "I know of no other physicist who thinks it will work. If it does, Sarfatti
  40. will become one of the greatest physicists of all time."  Indeed, Gardner's
  41. colleague Marcello Truzzi writes of me:
  42. "I admire that he has always emphasized the testability and falsifiability
  43. of his hypotheses and urged their submission to empirical tests. Unlike
  44. many others working on radical scientific theories, Dr. Sarfatti has always
  45. been clear about what evidence would show that his ideas were wrong....
  46. Dr. Sarfatti is very much an individualist, but I have always found him
  47. highly articulate and a warm personality...Obviously he has gone his own
  48. way certainly an academically unconventional path ... In the process he has
  49. attracted the attention of a wide spectrum of persons both within the
  50. science community and government. Clearly, he has taken a large risk in
  51. pursuing his highly novel, creative, and controversial work; but he has
  52. always understood that he is playing for very large stakes. If he is right
  53. .... the rewards would be immense."

  55. It is interesting that quantum connection communication only demands a very
  56. minimal extension of the standard formalism that sacrifices only "off-
  57. diagonal unitarity" and which conserves the sum of locally observable
  58. probabilities to unity on each side of the apparatus. All that is needed
  59. formally is a non-unitary transformation that collapses orthonormal states
  60. to parallel states while preserving the norms of all states. Of course we
  61. need a physical process to implement it. Such a process may be the
  62. polarization sensitive transmitter interferometer with a half-wave plate
  63. for photons in one path, or a spin flip coil for electrons or neutrons.
  64. Specifically a minimally non-unitary quantum mechanics that permitted the
  65. "quantum eraser" or "disentanglement" transformation

  70. where @ is angle between transmitter and receiver polarizer beam splitters

  72. controlled from the transmitter which can act from the time-like future of
  73. the receiver event in a delayed choice geometry. It can also act from the
  74. absolute elsewhere outside the light cone of the receiver event. Paradoxes
  75. are inhibited according to the "global self-consistency" constraint on
  76. Feynman histories advocated by Kip Thorne and Igor Novikov as well as
  77. anticipated by Godel, Hoyle and myself - independently.

  97. In quantum mechanics the measurement creates the measured property. Indeed,
  98. Gardner's articles about me created me as a world figure in the New Age
  99. more than anything else . Why did he do it. Whose influence operation? Is
  100. Gardner a "Messenger of Deception"? Those of you who have read Robert Anton
  101. Wilson's "The Illuminati Papers" and "The New Inquisition" as well as "The
  102. Cosmic Trigger" and those of you who have read Umberto Eco's "Foucault's
  103. Pendulum" know what that means.Is Gardner is one of the "Masters of the
  104. Illuminati" who only pretends to be a skeptic? Indeed, at the time I was a
  105. young fool - a Parsifal with Gardner as the Fisher King! Do not be fooled
  106. by appearances!

  108. There are some obvious questions nobody is asking. Questions of a political
  109. nature dealing with "psychic warfare". I suggest you all go back and
  110. download Mondo 112 is it. And think a little about the politics! (e.g. Ron
  111. Mc Rae's MIND WARS, St. Martin's Press, Washington DC). Much of the work in
  112. "remote viewing" has been funded by covert intelligence operations from
  113. several nations whose successful objective was the defeat of the Soviet
  114. Regime (e.g. Esalen-Soviet exchange program with Moscow Institute of US and
  115. Canada which brought Boris Yeltsin to USA before he took power and which
  116. now runs the Gorbachev Foundation USA).
