  18.     effectiveness and number of kills are different...No covoy
  19.     escorted by a Blimp was ever attaced by U boats...  The
  20.     presence of an obstacle will in many cases preclude one's
  21.     attempts to risk the obstacle...I would think that a german
  22.     pilot who was aware of BB's would steer clear of them to
  23.     prevent being fouled in the cables.. only the foolhardy and the
  24.     brave beyond this point...
