- Several people have proposed this idea in one variant or another. I
- would guess though that the tracking radar used to track the shells
- might have substantial problems if used in many land environments.
- The ocean is one of the cleanest possible radar environments even in
- heavy seas. When the clutter is compared to that found in many types
- of terrain, I would not be supprised to see the performance degrade to
- be unacceptable.
