  23. 10 tons is about the weight increase from a M1 to a M1A2, around 16%.
  24. Remove the regular turret and main gun from one tank per troop and
  25. equip it as a Phalanx defense system. Phalanx is supposed to be
  26. capable of dealing with aircraft, missiles, and ship artillery
  27. rounds. About the only thing too fast for it would be MBT APDS.

  29. You might have to hitch an armored trailer to the tank to carry
  30. the ammo though. :-)
