- My husbands aunt is a surgical nurse. Last week she was prepping an HIV+
- patient for surgery, but had forgotten to lower her faceguard. She
- accidentally touched a sore which subsequently exploded in her face and
- entered her eyes. The rest of the team rushed her out and cleaned her up,
- but this woman is beside herself with worry. Can anyone give me a risk
- estimate of her becoming HIV infected? It seems to me that the risk is quite
- low, but I'd like to hear some input from the net "experts".
-
- Thanks
