- Actually, cutting the surface area in half would do quite nicely
- at cutting the dosage in half. That's exactly how they work. Problem is,
- they're not built in such a way as to allow this. The Nicoderm patches are
- only sealed at the *edges*, such that cutting it in half opens it up and
- allows all the nicotene to spill out onto the floor... whereupon the dog licks
- it up and then promptly barfs all over the rug, at which time the wife
- wanders in and beats you over the head for being so inanely stupid.
- Could be dangerous... :) In other words: *DO NOT CUT THE PATCHES*

- Fortunately, the Nicoderm patches have a backing that peels off in
- two parts, and leaving one half this backing stuck on the patch has the
- same effect as cutting the surface area in half.
