  28.     Actually, cutting the surface area in half would do quite nicely
  29. at cutting the dosage in half. That's exactly how they work. Problem is,
  30. they're not built in such a way as to allow this. The Nicoderm patches are
  31. only sealed at the *edges*, such that cutting it in half opens it up and
  32. allows all the nicotene to spill out onto the floor... whereupon the dog licks
  33. it up and then promptly barfs all over the rug, at which time the wife
  34. wanders in and beats you over the head for being so inanely stupid.
  35. Could be dangerous... :) In other words: *DO NOT CUT THE PATCHES*

  37.     Fortunately, the Nicoderm patches have a backing that peels off in
  38. two parts, and leaving one half this backing stuck on the patch has the
  39. same effect as cutting the surface area in half.
