- This is a wee bit off the subject--but...when I had my baby two months ago,
- my OB was female. Although I had a horrific experience with pregnancy
- complications and a csection, etc., I think in some ways I had a
- 'traditional' birth in the sense that it was all females taking care
- of me, except for brief appearances by the anesthesiologists. I
- felt completely comfortable in the awkward and vulnerable positions
- I was in, and with being naked for periods of time. It was wonderful
- to be surrounded by women at that time. I have nothing but complete
- admiration and respect for the group of female OBs, who between them have
- 12 kids of their own, and manage their busy practices.
