  33.  Sorry, I made a minor glitch. Actually two. Forgive me?
  34. The article appeared in November Scientific American. Lead articles
  35. usually deal with social issues in S.A..
  36. Also I noted the data appear to be from 1986. This being true,MDs must
  37. be reaping even bigger salaries by now.
  38. Second glitch.. the article mentions average salaries,which I presume
  39. includes everyone.
  40. This would be more appropriate since average people are the one who
  41. pay doctors bills.
