  22. that BCG was found to have _no_ effect in some trial?

  25. I'm no doctor, but from my observation
  26. vaccination seems to have all but eliminated TB,
  27. at least in Europe,
  28. and where it has re-appeared
  29. this has invariably been because of a fall-off in vaccination.

  31. Incidentally, I spent a year in various TB sanatoria,
  32. and don't recall ever hearing of a single case
  33. of a doctor or nurse contracting the disease,
  34. although many of them took few if any precautions.
  35. Very few patients were sputum-positive, in any case.
