  14. I would like to gather information regarding some of the more 
  15. interesting work done by applied mathematicians in industry and 
  16. in academia.
  17.  
  18. I am especially interested in users of tools such as Mathematica, 
  19. Maple, Matlab, et. al. in visualization, modeling, and data analysis work.
  20.  
  21. I welcome all responses, but am curious about the following areas:
  22.      medical research
  23.      image processing (esp. fractals)
  24.      space, aeronautics
  25.      weather forecasting
  26.      physics (esp. lasers)
  27.      signal processing
  28.      information theory
