- Ahem. There IS an entity 'waving'. That entity is called the electromagnetic
- field. The whole point of identifying light as a wave is showing that there
- is a "thing" (albeit a strange thing, especially when you consider quantization)
- called the EM field that can store energy, propogate information, and... well,
- act like a 'thing'.
