- Hello,
-
- I'd like to create a 256 color map for Fractint 17.2 which very closely
- represents the visible spectrum (~0.38 to 0.71 microns) - one could call it
- a rainbow. What I plan to do is to divide the wavelength range of visible
- light into 255 discrete points (may not be evenly spaced), and then determine
- the color mapping parameters for each particular wavelength.
-
- The question: how do I convert a particular wavelength in the visible range
- to the three RGB .map parameters for use by Fractint?
-
- Of course, if somebody's already done this, then I'd like to get the map, but
- I'd like to know how to do it anywhoze.
-
- Jon
