- I've been trying to get an image of the fractal described on pages 125-127
- in "The beauty of Fractals" book. I can get the correct basin of attraction
- as shown in map 82 on page 118 but I cannot work out how to get the exact
- internal detail of the basin. I have something close but its not the same.
-
- It may hinge on my understanding of how to calculate when a point has
- arrived on the `invariant circle' or it could be that it takes a lot of
- iterations for this fractal to converge. Also I'm not sure what the difference
- is between the attractors represented by a periodic orbit and an invariant
- circle.
-
- Does anyone have any suggestions?
