- Try the following example. In Japan, Honda and Nissan can join forces
- in manufacturing, development, etc. and they can do it with government
- support and funding. In the US, GM and Chrysler can not build a joint
- plant but GM and Toyota can.

- The fact that we shot ourselves in the foot does not require the
- Japanese to do the same. If the current interpretation of the anti-trust
- laws prevents U.S. companies from competing successfully, then they
- need to be re-interpreted or changed. The prevalent anti-corporation
- attitudes in the Democratic Party need some revision, and maybe
- they are getting it.
