- Thats not right either. At least some, and I suspect all, of the relevant
- subspecies have extensive ranges outside the Tongass.

- This doesn't mean these animals should not be conserved. Indeed, I gather
- from one of Jim Hurst's postings the Forestry Service is required by
- law to do this. A report from their own biologists indicating they are
- not doing this is presumably very embarassing.
