- The N. Y. Times article points out that the Japanese have been
- criticizing North Korea's nuclear program because they suspect the
- North Koreans want to build a bomb. Meanwhile they will have
- considerably more plutonium on hand than the North Koreans. This
- weakens their argument, to say the least. Also, according to
- the article, Jimmy Carter killed the U. S. breeder reactor program
- just because of the issue of nuclear proliferation. Worrying
- about nuclear proliferation is not something engaged in only by
- a few radical environmentalists.
