  12. I  know of several chemical engineers who started their own environmental
  13. consulting firms.  In the U.S., environmental concerns are a BIG issue and
  14. chemcical engineers are the people best equipped to deal with the by-products
  15. and left over hazardous wastes that occur in any chemical process.  This is a
  16. BIG feather in the cap of chemical engineering in general.
