  15. May I pose for consideration the possibility that management would love to have a
  16. generalist workforce so that they can treat engineers as identical replacement
  17. parts?  It is difficult, and requires a high level of understanding, to
  18. effectively manage specialists.

  20. As an aside, it would appear to me that all the technical advances are made by
  21. personages which are specialists, at least while they are making the advances!
