  13. Anybody know how the VIDEOCRYPT encryption system works?
  14. It is manufacted by in the UK by Fergusson Ltd. The
  15. decoder has a smart card which needs to be inserted into
  16. it for it to decode the video signals (audio is unscrambled).

  18. How does it do the encryption? Is it based on wiggling sync
  19. pulses? Or maybe on jumbling up video scan lines? Or maybe
  20. something else?
