  18. Basically a parallel->serial->parallel system.  Black Box should be
  19. able to set you up with two appropriate boxes.  (I think they have
  20. at least one that works over a twisted pair.)  Your max. transfer
  21. rate should drop (significantly) using these devices - it's time
  22. consuming to serialize 8 bits (+control signals).

  24. Also, consider using Black Box Hyper cable for long parallel runs,
  25. or using a parallel->serial converter and a serial device (many
  26. printers have both parallel and serial connections - no need to buy
  27. an external converter if you have one built in).
