- Basically a parallel->serial->parallel system. Black Box should be
- able to set you up with two appropriate boxes. (I think they have
- at least one that works over a twisted pair.) Your max. transfer
- rate should drop (significantly) using these devices - it's time
- consuming to serialize 8 bits (+control signals).
-
- Also, consider using Black Box Hyper cable for long parallel runs,
- or using a parallel->serial converter and a serial device (many
- printers have both parallel and serial connections - no need to buy
- an external converter if you have one built in).
