- I have built a little dtmf controller that will 'turn on' when it receives
- a specific set of dtmf codes. I want to use this to keep a speaker on my
- radio quiet until the codes are received. I do not know what method is
- best for switching the speaker.
-
- Should I use a double throw relay, and switch between the speaker and an 8ohm
- resistor?
-
- Should I terminate the speaker output at an audio amp (lm386?) and switch the
- amp?
-
- Other ideas?
