  13. I have built a little dtmf controller that will 'turn on' when it receives
  14. a specific set of dtmf codes. I want to use this to keep a speaker on my
  15. radio quiet until the codes are received. I do not know what method is
  16. best for switching the speaker.

  18. Should I use a double throw relay, and switch between the speaker and an 8ohm
  19. resistor?

  21. Should I terminate the speaker output at an audio amp (lm386?) and switch the
  22. amp?

  24. Other ideas?
