- I'm wondering about large (100's of watts) discharge lamps that have
- electronic ballasts. My purpose is to run such from 400hz power
- sources. I've got a call in to GE Nela Park, but thought I'd ask here,
- too, if only to give Phillips a chance :-}
-
- Secondly, I'm looking for net-speculation regarding running switcher
- supplies on the same stuff. It should be no problem once you have DC to
- switch, but ISTM that the incoming line meets a big inductor, and at 6x
- its normal freq, not a lot would pass.
-
- And to round things off, how about wall-warts? I've used normal-sized
- 60 hz transformers on 400 hz, & can't think of any reason why they
- would object, but it never hurts to speculate..
