- I'm working on a project that requires a switched 14 Mhz oscillator.
- I am currently using a 14 Mhz crystal, a 1M feedback resistor and a
- couple of capacitors on a 74HC00. My problem is that the oscillator
- will occasionally either not start or oscillate at a higher harmonic.
- When it does work the output is also pretty feeble so I know I'm doing
- something wrong.
-
- I would prefer not using a commercial canned oscillator because this
- project is pretty cost sensitive. Anyone have any suggestions on what
- I should be doing?
-
- Even though I read this group often please email any responses as I will
- be out of town for a while and most likely miss any posts because of the
- short expiry time on this machine.
