  25. Any light weight materials that are cheap enough to go into an electric car
  26. can also go into an IC car.  Therefore, this is not an advantage for the
  27. electric.
  28. We already have _efficient_ electric cars, the problem is cost effectiveness.
  29. In order for this to happen you are going to have to have major improvements
  30. in battery technology, and gas prices will have to go up by a factor of 3
  31. to 4, without electricity prices going up at all.
  32. Flywheel vehicles will only happen if congress manages to repeal most of
  33. the laws of physics.  If you still believe otherwise, you have not been
  34. reading this thread very carefully.
