  13. I like the simplicity of this idea (moving the Earth instead of
  14. trying to shield it), but what the heck's all this "elastic
  15. collisions" stuff? Surely you're not serious about the "broken
  16. Kepler" business?

  18. Instead, I'd use the "tame asteroid" in a resonant slingshot
  19. configuration between (say) Mars and Earth, in order to bring
  20. Mars "down" and Earth "up" the Sun's gravitational potential
  21. well. Hell, use a string of 'em to speed things up.....
