  12. A popular reference would be _The Genius of China_ by Robert Temple, 1987,
  13. ISBN 0-671-62028-2.  It's a popularization of Joseph Needham's _Science and
  14. Civilisation in China_ encyclopedia.  By the way, I _did_ see something about
  15. this in _National Geographic_, but I couldn't tell you when.
