- I recently had a heniochus develop a popeye condition with some external
- white stuff on it. Limited response to a product called Eye Fungex (two-part
- treatment of siver nitrate and K dichromate, directly applied.) Then tried
- a product called Furan-2, which is yellow stuff added to the water (guess
- that's not very specific, but the package is at home.)
-
- The Furan-2 knocked it right in the head. Noticeable improvement in less
- than 24 hours. Gone after two treatments. No noticeable effect on filtration.
- The treatment regimen was:
-
- 1 capsule in 10 gallons.
- 1 capsule again the third day.
- wait 24 hours
- strip medication with 50% change, dose with Shieldex, and restart carbon
- filtration.
-
- As usual, I don't know exactly what the disease agent was, only the symptom.
- Guessed right this time. Good luck.
