- Rich,

- The stringyness makes me think that maybe the fish has a fungus infection.
- I can only speak from experience with fresh water fish. When they had fungus
- infections (usually on the mouth or fins), I tried Mardel's Maroxy with no
- effect. What worked was some tablets called FungusCure that discolored the
- water a lot, but worked. I think it's made by Aquarium Products. I'm not
- sure if it works for saltwater. I've read about treating freshwater fungus
- infections with saltwater baths and copper. Does anyone know if a freshwater
- bath would help with this? Is the fish in full strength seawater (I know it`s
- found in the brackish waters of the Chesapeake Bay)?
