- Several RTCA activities are underway. First, they have published the "RTCA Taskforce
- Report on Global Navigation Satellite System Transition and Implementation
- Strategy", now available for sale. Second, Special committee-169, Aeronautical
- DataLink Applications, is looking at various applications and operational modes as you
- describe, which may be influenced by the early need for a DGPS data channel.

- Also the FAA is in the process of defining the Aeronautical Telecommunications
- Network (ATN) which is being worked by MITRE. ATN concept proposes using the
- ISO/OSI protocols.
