- I guess it depends on how much stock you're removing and what kind of stock
- you're cutting. I've never used a drawknife, but I imagine if you're doing
- this on something like zebrawood, or even hard maple, it could be kind of
- frustrating. However, I suppose you would have the advantage of being able to
- clamp all 8 pieces together and do them simultaneously.

- If you're marking the scallops with some kind of template or circle/ellipse
- drawing jig, you might cut out the bulk with an inexpensive jigsaw and then
- clean up with the drawknife and/or sanding drum and/or cabinet scraper. Your
- scallops may be shallow enough to do with a sanding drum alone, at which point
- you may want to follow with a scraper.
